It’s with great excitement that we welcome Australian composer and musician Anthony Pateras to La Bleue for a solo piano set. Building upon years of research, the performance will draw on the methodologies of 20th and 21st century composers and improvisers, combined with the acoustic embodiment of radical electro-acoustic music.

Active since 1999, Pateras's practice spans contemporary music, electroacoustics, piano improvisation, experimental rock and film soundtrack. He has composed over 90 works and released more than 50 records, performing solo, with his groups Pateras/Baxter/Brown, PIVIXKI, Thymolphthalein, North of North, tētēma and Sulla Lingua, and in long-term duos with Jérôme Noetinger, Stephen O'Malley, Erkki Veltheim, Rohan Drape and Anthony Burr. He lives and works in Djaara/Castlemaine, and serves on the jury at La Becque, La Tour-de-Peilz.
